| Formosa Mai-Liao Industrial Park. Mai-Liao Industrial Park has a construction area of about 8 km from north to south and about 4 km from east to west. It has an overall development area of 2,603 hectares, and a total of NT$574.4 billion has been invested in the 1st through 4th phase of the 6th Naphtha Cracker Plant.
A number of huge facilities are located in Mai-Liao Industrial Park, which is nearly the largest in the world. For example, it has processing equipment with heights over 90 meters and a total weight of about 1,500 metric tons, and 38 units of 130,000 kiloliter oil storage tanks, each measuring 86 m in diameter and 22 m in height, with capacities that rank among the best in the world. |
